More about Wendy:
Wendy is from Woodbridge, Connecticut. Growing up near local Connecticut farms, her family would go to farmers markets and pick-your-owns every harvest season. She loves fruit (and would probably be a fruitarian if she could), and she knows every fruit season in Connecticut by heart. She became more interested in sustainable agriculture after picking strawberries for Massaro Farm and working for them for one summer. She first discovered Old Acre during a YPop-Up collaboration in 2022 Fall. Since then, she started regularly attending workdays. She joined the Yale Sustainable Food Program because she loves spending time at Yale Farm, and she loves to cook for others. At YSFP, she hopes to further explore her interests in public health, sustainable agriculture, food security, nutrition, and mindful eating. Food has always been a love-language for her, and she’s looking forward to sharing a slice of pizza with anyone that stops by!
