Mara is an Environmental Studies major hailing from the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Sevierville, Tennessee. She is passionate about exploring sustainable farming solutions, addressing food inequality, and designing creative approaches to environmental advocacy. At Yale, she has worked at the Marsh Botanical Garden and studied abroad in Bhutan, researching the growth of medicinal Himalayan plants. Mara enjoys listening to live music, cooking with friends, and coming across a quality cold brew; her favorite things to grow are strawberries and chamomile. She is so excited to work at YSFP!
