More about Emerson:
Emerson Harris is in Saybrook College. She hails from a small island off of midcoast Maine called Southport. Her family is from the Passamaquoddy tribe, and she is excited to work as a liaison between the Native American Cultural Center (NACC) and the Yale Farm. She learned about the YSFP while taking the class Indigenous Food Sovereignty with Professor Hi‘ilei Hobart, where she helped steward the Three Sisters Garden and prepare for the Fall Feast. After taking this class, she knew she wanted to stay involved with the Farm, and she is so excited to keep connections between the NACC and the Yale Farm strong. Off the Farm, Emerson is also a coxswain for the Heavyweight Crew team and a member of Taps at Yale - Yale's tap dancing group on campus.
