Meet Camilla Ledezma!
The Farm is one of Camilla's favorite places on campus. There's an undeniable importance in the pace of things here, where humility, patience, and intentionality catalyze every process, from the plants growing in the greenhouses to the pizza bubbling in the wood-fired oven. Camilla (she/they) loves spending Friday afternoons on the Old Acre, surrounded by wonderful people, making nourishing food, and hoping that the chickens on the other side of the field are having an equally good time. Camilla's academic interests have converged on food systems as well; they are particularly interested in studying the colonial history of our dominant food system, and how this history influences the ways we understand and interact with non-human realms. Outside of her work on the Farm, you might find Camilla collecting leaves, snacking on chocolate, or scooting around campus on a pink scooter.
