Agrivoltaics: Harvesting Multiple Benefits from Solar Sites

  • Burke Auditorium, Kroon Hall 195 Prospect Street New Haven, CT, 06511 United States (map)

Agrivoltaics is the co-location of solar and agriculture in a synergistic system to produce both energy and food. This is an emerging opportunity that can maximize land use benefits of solar energy development.

Through this panel discussion and happy hour, this evening program will explore how these projects are unfolding across the country, who’s driving them, as well as what the co-benefits look—and taste—like. We are pleased to host Clif Bar, Alchemist Brewing, 56 Brewing, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Engie, and Fresh Energy for an informative and engaging dialog and social hour.

One of New England’s most renowned breweries will be serving beer brewed with honey sourced from a pollinator-friendly solar project. There will also be honey to sample on its own as well as appetizers from a local caterer. Register here.
