Claire is a senior majoring in English from Charlottesville, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Piedmont, and she is happy to talk about her hometown any time. Her love of plants first sprouted during her childhood, when she enjoyed backpacking and complained about weeding with her dad. Since then, she has found a love of gardening (yes, even weeding), native plants, and sustainable food which came to fruition on the Old Acre.
